Marion County Jail is located in the City of Fairmont,
West Virginia
Current plans for the Marion County Jail include
maintaining the outside of the building, including
the bars. The interior of the building will be
used for required storage. But, several of the
cells are to be used as part of the Marion County
Museum; telling the history of what has happened
in the jail.
The only money for restoration received so far
is one grant for repair of the roof.
For those desiring to help restore the roof, a
special fund is being set up by the Marion County
Commission.
