BLACK HISTORY MONTH: Events will include prominent Black Americans from the local area, light refreshments, and coffee at the Marion County Museum in downtown Fairmont by the Court House. The public is invited. Admission is free.

THE MOUNTAIN STATE HISTORY EXPO We know you have enthusiasm for a historically related topic? Would you like to awaken, encourage, or create that same interest in others? Do we have a deal for you!
March 29, 2014 (10:00-2:00) will be that opportunity! The last Saturday in March promises to be a grand day for Marion County to have a spring awakening! The Marion County Historical Society, Inc. (MCHS) will once again sponsor that opportunity with the Mountain State History Expo! Upon our request, the Marion County Commission enthusiastically offered the use of our beautiful, historic Court House as the location!
The exhibits must be of historical significance to the general public, and is open to all at no charge. Exhibit space is limited, for more information, contact us at Museum 304-367-5398 or email email@example.com.
Detailed planning is continuing. Currently, to assist you in your decision to participate as an exhibitor is the following general information:
The topic must be of historical significance, as determined by the MCHS, to the general public's education. To enable maximum variety, we ask that you limit your display to one 8 foot table pre-set and provided by us at no charge.
Exhibits open Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10:00 and close at 2:00. Displays should be ready by 9:45 and must remain open during that time period. You may sell items, memberships, or have a donation jar at your table.
